last chance for a slow dance.

prior to our imminent album release, the "haunting through" ep from last autumn will be removed from availability, in roughly one month. this is largely due to the fact that the four songs it is comprised of are also on the LP.

we have about 20 physical cd copies left, which you can contact to get for free. i'll even post it to you for nothing.

alternatively, it is still free at thedouglasfirs.co.uk for digital download.

we will post details of how to get the album here in time..

More info
Glasgow rock ‘n’ pop cavalry Armellodie Records - www.armellodie.com -have steadily manifested into one of the most exciting independent labels in the UK with a constant flow of critically acclaimed releases from an eclectic roster of artists. So with all this talent in tow who wouldn’t want to show it off, from January 2011 Armellodie Records begin a 6-month residency, ‘Barmellodie’, in Glasgow’s reputable indie-hub Bar Bloc, s...howcasing acts from their roster with special guest performances to boot. The night will also feature guest DJ spots from local bloggers (aka blaggers) and tastemakers as well as resident ArmelloDJs spinning tunes until 3am on the third Friday of each month.

The line-up for the first of our monthly residential spots in Bar Bloc is none other than...

LE RENO AMPS
http://lerenoamps.bandcamp.com/

Born of sorrow in the North East of Scotland, Le Reno Amps continue their quest to reconfigure their musical landscape with p.o.p vitamins, Scott Maple and Al Nero swap lead vocals and trade harmonies with a certain joie de vivre. The band - an Armellodie supergroup featuring Jason from Cuddly Shark on drums and Mandy from Super Adventure Club on bass - return to the live stage with a clutch of new songs from their forthcoming record out on Armellodie Records in the Spring as well as y'know, old eens.

THE DOUGLAS FIRS
http://thedouglasfirs.bandcamp.com/

From the northern gales of the Highlands to the peaks of Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh, The Douglas Firs is the brainchild of Neil Insh, born and bred in Aberdeen before de-camping to Scotland’s capital. A gentleman on a journey of sonic discovery. The Douglas Firs claim they would be verging on prog-rock if they could play their instruments, and didn’t like Buddy Holly so much. This show marks their first appearance in Glasgow (we think?) and hopefully the first of many.

BATTERY FACE
http://www.myspace.com/batteryface

Special guests courtesy of Electropapknit Records. Battery Face are a blend of rockin synth and kraut melodies, with a sonic chaser set to "dance". Featuring members of Copy Haho, Deathpodal and PVH.

What's more there's an Armellodisco after the stellar live performances with DJ PHIL ELBA from www.elbasessions.co.uk guesting on the decks + ArmelloDJs until 3AM

The first band will grace the stage at the unsociable hour of 11pm.

FREE ENTRY until midnight. £2 thereafter.

Hiphop to it people.
